Moving Forward with the Business
Ever since I have taken the decision to move forward with the business and get legalized here (dedicated facility) I have been producing larger quantities of soap rather than experimenting. Another Canadian friend-of-the-family, Michaela, has been visiting and has been helping me make soap as well as taking lots of awesome photos. So I share some photos of my latest soap logs.
After so much experimenting, it has been challenging to decide which bars are the ones I will be repeating. It comes down to simple, natural, mostly ingredients from this area. I think I will have about 10 bars that are my basic bars. Then I will continue to experiment with new bars and new products. For now, my focus is on deciding the basic bars (lots of testing!) and production.
I have also been busy with Christmas fairs and markets. I have two this upcoming weekend.
I am loving making soap more than ever, and feel so fortunate to be able to dedicate so much time to what I am passionate about!!! Life has gotten so much simpler over the past few months... more down-to-earth in general and bounce-out-of-bed happy in the mornings!!!
I hope you are all well and busy and enjoying the lead up to the holidays.
xo

Your photos look great and you have been busy. I love the one that looks like you have cinnamon sprinkled on top of it. Hope you do well on all your fairs. I have my last one this week-end.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are on the right track if you are bouncing out of bed with happiness in the mornings. I've always said I wanted a job that lets me do what I love and makes me happy.
I am really happy for you Jen. And the photos look really good. I wish all the best for your business!
ReplyDeleteJen - WOW those photos are great and your soap look great too. Great news that you are now so happy and that you are bouncy happy - you are doing great and I wish you every success - you experiments are paying off xx
ReplyDeleteIt is so incredibly difficult to have to choose a few to make again and again. I have a list somewhere and then I get an idea to do something different. Best of luck in you business, Jen. I think we always feel happy when we find our slot in life. So it seems that soap is it for you now. You lucky (and hard working) girl
ReplyDeleteyour soaps look great! Will you be selling them to the US too?
ReplyDeleteHello Jennifer,
ReplyDeleteI also would like to know if you plan to sell your very creative soaps in the United States.
Of the above soaps, I also like the soap that looks like cinnamon is sprinkled on top of it. Very delectable! Great job Jennifer.
