Stamping Orange Poppyseed Soap...


I love stamping soaps almost as much as I love cutting them. . .  This stamp I had made by Anhoki   http://anhoki.blogspot.com/ and have been very pleased with it.






Green Clay soap with all stamping equipment, ready to begin stamping. . .



I use a toothbrush to clear the left over soap bits out of the stamp. . .

    Nitya, Thank you for your comment. I really like this stamp as well. The platform is simply a piece of wood that I had left over... but I like to stamp on it. Can't wait to see more of your new and original creations from India!!! Buffalo milk? BUFFALO MILK??? I use local goat milk in some of my soaps and am so pleased I found a super goat farm to get the fresh milk from. But I have been looking for sheep milk for more than a year and cannot find any... but buffalo milk? Can't wait to see your creations!! xo Jen

    your stamped soap looks great, and your soaps have a really clean finish/edge, do you use a wire cutter or a blade?

    Great post! I always wondered how much pressure it took to stamp soap. (Looks like a lot!)

    Bobbins and Balms, I finally got a wire cutter. I had been having problems previously with crumble at the bottom of my soap when I cut with a knife... and I discovered a fabulous wire cutter.     Robin, Love the name of your company... Kinky is such a great word! Surprisingly it doesn't take much pressure but it all depends on how hard your soap is. If you stamp straight away after removing from the mould, it can be too soft. But it has to be soft enough to get a good impression. With salt soaps, timing is REALLY tricky.
