Traci R, I do like these moulds, but has been a challenge to get the soap out until now. First I tried lining them, but that was a challenge and the soap came out not very smooth. Without lining, and no, no grease, the soaps come out AWESOME. Just how to get them out? They need to be not too hard, and running warm water over them helps too. Pam, Thanks for your comment! No it isn't glass. It is a really hard plastic. This is what happened when the soap got too hard in the mould, couldn't get it out so I asked my husband to help... he just wouldn't give up until it was completely shattered!! Oh well, live and learn! xo Jen

Interesting! I thought when you said run hot water at the mold first before taking the soap log out. you meant freeze it then run hot water to release it. You don't freeze it first?

Everyone - UPDATE - best way to get the soap out of the unlined soap mould... don't wait 24 hours!! It comes out a lot easier when soft. I still learn something new about soaping every day!!! xoxo Jen
