Coffee Soap - Aroma...

Smells deliciously like fresh coffee grinds... you know... when you cut open that vacuum packed bag of coffee and the smell overwhelms you? Or when you freshly grind the coffee beans? That.

Normally I make my coffee soap with at least a portion of coconut cream but I didn’t have any this time and the liquid is entirely coffee, brewed the Spanish way. This recipe also has Coco Butter.

Previously, I had been attempting various Essential Oil blends in my coffee soaps, but nothing that wowed me. I tried a non-scented version and then I even tried a soap with an non-natural coffee fragrance oil, which smelled nice but didn’t feel right for me. It smelled good but it smelled fake.

Then I discovered Coffee C02 oil from http://www.fresholi.co.uk/ and oh my God! It is natural and amazing! The aroma of the finished soap is deep, real and addicting. It is like the powerful rich scent of the fresh grounds themselves.
I LOVE this coffee scent. I am addicted!!!

This sounds sooooo good, I love the smell of coffee, I've had a few goes at coffee soap too, but just wasn't happy with the results, this Co2 sounds wonderful,I wonder if they post to Aussie, I'll have to have a look-see.

Ohh, sounds good! Thank you so much for this tip. I have never been able to achieve that right kind of scent, a real coffee scent, in a soap. I'll have to try this Co2 oil.

Oh I'm just imagining the scent of this soap. That Co2 coffee scent sounds really good. I may have to try Fresholi one of these days and wonder what the shipping would cost since I'm in Canada.

Aroma Beauty - You should get in touch with Helen at Fresholi and find out. She is fabulous.

Heidi - Same for you - contact Helen at Fresholi - she's the best. Can you tell me where you get your supplies?

Splurge Sisters - I think New Directions Canada has a Coffee Essential Oil... they won't ship to Europe but you may wish to try it. If you do - please let me know how it works out! It is more economical than the CO2 oil but for now I have found a good, not cheap, coffee soap aroma! xo Jen

You're amazing, Jen! You're crankin' out one awesome bar after the next: "GO JEN-NEE, GO JEN-NEE!" (That's a little bit of "cheer" just for you, Kiddo!) Have a happy, Soapy Day! ~Becky :D
