Whole Lemon

My first experiment using a whole lemon... blended up into the liquid portion of the soap... peel and all!

I wonder what it will do to the ph?

Fresh lemony EO blend of Lemon, Lemongrass and May Chang

That sounds very refreshing, Jen! Shame you can't eat it. I must say, your blog is looking really good these days. And your photography is top notch!

Are you down on Mojacar Playa for the street market 4th Feb?

I feel like biting into your soap...it looks delicious!! Does the lemon pulp add to the lemony fragrance? I would really like to know where the pH value will be. Have a nice week ahead!!

Jennifer, you beat me to it, I was thinking about what to do with all that lemon I got from my lemon tree! Maybe I should take both you and Mika's idea and make lemon orange soap!

Jennifer Young said...

Nitya, I am not sure if the pulp helps with the EOs but I have a good lemony blend now anyway. Took me a while to find it. I am most curious to see how the ph turns out. Will let you know. Hope you are well in Austria and soaping again!! xo Jen

Love it Jen but tell me about the bumpy bottom. I love the texture but do you think it was from lemon debri settling? And the scents sound fantastic!

Jennifer Young said...

Hi Donna! I think the bumpy bottom is a little from the crinkly mold liner and also some lemon bits settling. There are lemon bits throughout really. Yes, I do like this scent. Thanks for your comment!!! xo Jen

Your soap looks great! I bet it smells divine! Lemon is one of my favorites :)

Michelle (Sierra Snow Soaps), thank you very much. I think the key in any Lemon EO blend is May Chang (Litsea Cubeba). Good luck and let us know how it goes!! xoxo Jen

Michelle, thank you. I love lemon too but lemon EO on it's own just doesn't stick, so I found a blend that works well!! xoxoxo Jen
