Batch 99

Another black line soap (thank you Tiggy!!) variation. Lovin' this one as well! This one's got pink clay. Again, need a great name....

Sometimes I think of the amazing things I could create with synthetic colours or scents, but I still feel strongly that I want to stick to all natural ingredients... pure essential oils, natural additives & colours. Tomorrow I unveil Batch 100.....

Back to work tomorrow after a wonderfully soap-filled long weekend (Andalucia Day). Good-night!

wowza. now you have to tell us all how you got the diagonal. I think i have an idea of how to do it, but please come back and tell me!

I love the first one with the black line too. it looks like rocks. so natural looking.

Hello Tiggy, I actually did both of these soaps in two sections. Although you were able to do the entire soap with one (heavily-traced) mix, I made two separate mixes, so I had time for the first layer to set. For example, I made the pink part and poured it. Tilted the mould and made sure that I had supports underneath for it to stay on the angle. Then I sprinkled the Cocoa. Difficult to reach the bottom part of the angle but do-able. I don't have one of those spoons of yours so I put it into a little spice sprinkling bottle. Then I covered and incubated the soap while I made the other part. By the time I poured the other part, the pink part had already set in its diagonal shape. I simply poured, did the "messy swirls" on top and then incubated with the mould straight up now. Hope my explanation was understandable! Glad you liked the pix. xo Jen

Oh very nice Jen - I don't have the patience to do the slant styles, your's are beautiful!

Kat, Thank you! I have looked at the pix of your mould and I think the slant works easier in log moulds. Your moulds are incredible! Can I ask what you use to line them? I am still using wax paper folded especially and painfully for each batch...

I think this is my favorite - gorgeous!!! I've only just started to experiment with doing a lot of different colorings, black lines, etc. . Maybe mine will look like this someday. Awesome stuff!!!
